What do visitors say about BWW?
I was invited to participate in the upcoming edition of BWW, the largest wine fair in Spain, which will take place in February 2025 in Barcelona. I had the privilege of attending the last edition, and I can confidently say it’s a unique experience, offering the chance to discover the industry’s main trends, taste exceptional wines, and strengthen relationships with producers and partners.
The fair is a key meeting point for the global wine market, bringing together renowned names and emerging talents. It also serves as an excellent platform to generate ideas and identify opportunities we can apply to the Brazilian market. I’m excited to participate again and stay closely connected to the most innovative developments in the world of wine!
BWW is all about wine and new business solutions. This is where we can strenghten ideas through strategic partnerships. The BWW is a celebration of some of the best Spanish Wine talent to be found. In the world. We all need to meet people in real life.
This is my first experience with BWW, but my interactions with the organization have been very positive and friendly.
We are very excited to attend Barcelona Wine Week for the 4th year in a row! Every year provides an opportunity to connect with exhibitors from years past and discover new wines for our import portfolio. Barcelona Wine Week is always the most important show of the year for our company and the Hosted Buyers Program provides tremendous value for us.
Looking really forward to visit Barcelona Wine Week and expect a really good selection of top-class exhibitors and interesting discussions and experience about Spanish wines for the German market.
I’m thrilled to once again be attending Barcelona Wine Week for the third consecutive year. Over the last two events, I’ve made invaluable contacts that have significantly enhanced the ND John Wine Portfolio, benefiting both the on and off-trade sectors.
I’m really looking forward to this year’s event, eager to sample new wines and connect with a variety of emerging wineries. This will be an excellent opportunity to further elevate and expand our Spanish wine offerings.
Participating in the Barcelona Wine Week 2025 is a fantastic opportunity to closely follow the evolution of the Spanish wine industry. The fair offers a unique chance to connect with suppliers, wineries, and prominent figures in Spanish wine. Always well-organized and efficient, BWW allows buyers to have a highly productive schedule of meetings and appointments with Spanish wineries and wine groups, opening up opportunities for collaborations and business development.
The event is a fantastic experience and an excellent opportunity to stay connected and up-to-date with the world of wine, especially when it comes to Spain. It provides the chance to get to know each winery firsthand, along with the people behind it.
It’s a highly reliable and professional event where we can be confident that every deal made during the fair is honored and executed with precision and professionalism.
I’m always excited to attend, explore new opportunities, and discover potential additions to our organization’s portfolio.
2024 was my first experience at Barcelona Wine Week and it surely did not disappoint!
This was a great opportunity to establish new contacts and expand our Spanish wine portfolio. The organization of the Hosted Buyers Program was outstanding—everything from scheduling meetings with producers to attending associated events throughout the city was seamless and productive. This year I am looking forward to deepening relationships with our existing suppliers as well as discovering emerging trends and wineries that align with our goals.
Barcelona Wine Week is one of the best executive wine buying events to find quality Spanish wines. The organizers and the producers exhibiting are professional and willing to assist in any way to make it a wonderful and productive experience. I have been successful in finding wines that complement our well-curated selection from entry-level to upper-tier. I highly recommend any buyer attend this event in Barcelona. You will not be disappointed.
Excited to meet with our Spanish suppliers, discover producers, and engage with the ancillary events the wine fair as to offer.
Excellent mix of large producers all the way to very small artisanal wineries.
There is something to fill everybody's needs in one place.
Sin duda espero actualizarme en todos los sentidos y encontrar algunas cosas novedosas para el mercado de México.
BWW is the definitive wine show for Spanish wines covering a comprehensive range of wine styles from all the important DOs and beyond. It is so well organized to make business meetings easy and effective. The insightful masterclasses are very useful to understand current trending topics too. The BWW simply keeps me coming back for more every year!
Barcelona Wine Week for us is the most important event of the year when it comes to keeping up in the Spanish World of Wines. Since we are an importer with focus Spain this is where we can meet many of our already established business partners from around Spain, but of course also search for new interesting wines. To be able to meet and discuss with so many professionals at once is very good to keep updated on the latest trends and challenges.
If you find the time and have some Spanish knowledge there are also many interesting masterclasses and round table discussions to listen in to. Also outside the fair it gives you the chance to enjoy and meet people within the business keeping up with the wine scene of restaurants and wine bars. All together gives you great impressions and a good start to the year continuing working with the wines back in Sweden.
Visiting Barcelona Wine Week with the Hosted Buyers programme was a very good and productive experience. Not only did I have the opportunity to connect with wineries we have been working with for years, but I was also able to discover new producers who have become key pieces of our portfolio as a result of that first meeting at BWW. I was also able to attend the presentations and tastings given by excellent producers and sommeliers, as well as specialist writers and journalists.
Barcelona Wine Week has quickly established itself as a very exciting and important fixed date in our annual calendar and is, in our opinion, the most important leading trade fair for the wines of Spain. The elite of the small, quality wine producers that are so important to us are almost always present as exhibitors. This allows us to get an overview of the current vintages and to establish or maintain contacts. In addition, the size and structure of the fair allows us to specifically seek out new talent. With the associated Hosted Buyers programme, professional pre-planning and on-site support, a visit to the fair is also a very pleasant experience.
As a company we are very happy that the Spanish bottled wine business is becoming more and more modern, reaching a leading position in the world. This BWW is a showcase for Spain and, of course, a lovely city to meet new wineries and the people behind them. BWW is one of the best fairs I have ever attended, always committed to improving with each edition, presenting a great selection of exhibitors and activities that enrich the experience.
Visiting Barcelona Wine Week is very interesting for several reasons:
The size of the fair is ideal, it doesn't become exhausting.
In addition, the diversity of producers is excellent, we can find from big name wineries to small unknown wineries, all under the same roof.
Another point I like about BWW is the possibility of finding very young producers who dare to produce wines with new styles, which will eventually mark the profile of the wines we will see in the near future.
In short, BWW is a professional but relaxed fair, with a great atmosphere thanks to the diversity that can be found. It is a voyage of discovery that for wine buyers becomes a highlight of the year - not to be missed!
I own a wine agency in Atlantic Canada and attended BWW for the first time in 2023. It was a rewarding and memorable trip. The show was well-organized, the staff were extremely helpful when needed, and the event space was well situated.
Our agency operates in a monopoly state in Canada, so it can take a long time to see results. This was the first show I can remember that I had new products in our market within 6 months of discovering them at BWW. That speaks to the quality of the wines made in Spain these days, as well as the breadth of selection offered in general, and on display at BWW.
I like BWW as it is a very compact fair with a very good representation of different regions and different styles of wines, with a choice of small wineries along with large international groups too. The timing is very good too. Barcelona is also a great place with excellent food and convenient logistics.
The BWW is for us the most important annual fair, where we catch up on all the latest news about Spanish wines. This event is essential to connect with producers, sommeliers and experts, and to establish business connections.
